PEACHY PAGE FARM
OUR ROOTS GROW DEEP IN THE TEXAS SOIL!
Peachy Page Farm owners, Robert and Cindy Page are Texans to the core. Both are fourth generation Texans, a mere fact they are both very proud of!
Robert and Cindy are parents of two children, Kelly Page Stibbens and Michael Page. Three amazing grandsons: Nathan Stibbens, Caden Page and Jaron Page along with a daughter -in-law, Jennifer Page and son-in-law Bryan Stibbens make their family complete. All of these family members live in the great state of Texas.
Robert and Cindy raised children in Forney, TX and when Michael left for college in 1997 they headed to Scurry where they had been gifted a small piece of land from Robert’s dad, Wiley Page. It was a cold January morning in 2007 when Robert and Cindy planted their first peach trees – four varieties of 250 free stone peaches. Later that year, blackberries were planted.
Today Peachy Page Farm features seven varieties of peaches from about 550 trees, 24 plum trees and 2000 ft of blackberries. Along with peaches, plums and blackberries customers can purchase homemade churned ice-cream, jams and seasonal vegetables. Selling their fruit began from under a canopy beside the house. Today customers can purchase their fruit and other small gift items from inside their newly built country store which was built by Robert and completed in 2018.
Also offered are Dinners In The Orchard in the fall and spring of each year. This fun night consists of appetizers on the porch area and then as the night becomes available the guest move out into the orchard for a four-course dinner and piano music. These are magical nights of laughter, meeting new and old friends, service which is “5” star and food that will satisfy any taste bud! The orchard can also be rented September – May for weddings, family reunions, engagement parties or any gathering.
The main focus is for customers to come to the orchard not only to buy fresh fruit but to see our piece of paradise. The Page’s are very proud of the orchard and love to share it with others. They are lifelong learners and learn something new every season. The orchard is always such a beautiful place, peaceful and gracious in the early morning and late afternoons!
The orchard began as a way to support retirement for the couple. Cindy retired from 45 years in education in January 2018 and Robert has semi-retired from 50 years of selling lumber this month (July 2018).
This labor intense operation is a dream come true for Robert and Cindy, one they love to share with others. They harvest their own peaches with help from local employees and offer “pick your own” blackberries and plums.
We hope you will enjoy your visit at Peachy Page Farm and walk away feeling the love and devotion that happens each and every day at the orchard!
